Long before we realized it our family was on a journey no one wished for …

It began when our daughter was in middle school. In the beginning it crawled forward at an imperceptible pace. By the time it ended on July 6th 2017 it had completely consumed our lives, our energy, and every ounce of who we where. It literally turned our family upside down. Each step of the way seemed to lead us to the darkest place we had ever been. We quickly learned it wasn’t!

We Chose Love is both our story and response to this painful chapter of our lives. Through it we hope our story, mistakes. right decisions, pain and victories will encourage other families who love someone living with mental health or an addiction disorder. We want you to know, you are not alone, and that your loved one needs to know they aren’t either.
