Someone is Trying to Take it Away

This is the third to last note I wrote to Lauren. Next week I will share the very last note I wrote her. You can read the note I left her the day she passed away in the post The Last Words I Got to Say to LaLa | We Chose Love . It was written on the 5th anniversary of her passing.

In the note I encouraged Lauren to call on the LORD for help. Not because someone in addiction is bad or evil. Not becuase God is angry at us. BECAUSE He cares. He cared about Lauren and He cares about YOU and your loved one.  PRAY like there is someone working 24 hours a day trying to take it all away.  It’s a spin off of Mark Cuban saying “Work like there is someone working 24 hours a day trying to take it all away.” You can read about it here .

Asking you to pray does not mean you do nothing. It means you realize you need Gods help too.

As a person of faith I believe John 10:10 says it all:

John 10:10 (NLT) — 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

You may not feel it but God wants you to have LIFE with all caps!

This is the verse mentioned in LaLa’s Note:

John 8:36 (NLT) — 36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

For each week of this series I send out a follow-up email with more details about what was happenning for Lauren and our family on the occasion of writing the note. This week i touches on various treatments and how this new thrapist was a great help for LaLa.
