My Final Note to My Daughter

This is the last LaLa NOTE I every wrote to my daughter. I wrote it the day we laid her to rest. On that day, her spirit blazed more brightly than it ever had before. We count ourselves truly blessed to know that.

In the first few weeks after LaLa’s passing, I discovered a book called “Terry: My Daughter’s Life-and-Death Struggle with Alcoholism.” A quote in it planted a thought in my mind that I have not shaken since: “Alcoholics and Drug addicts are hard to live with, but they are much harder to live without.”
